A large group of students in the United States makeup a large population of English language learners. Students who are considered English language learners undergo many challenges in their education, and without the necessary support and resources from their educators it can make it hard for them to succeed. A teacher plays a significant role in the success of a child, and it is crucial for them to be able to provide the proper education to students whose first language is not English. It is also very important for teachers to understand the challenges that these students are facing. Having empathy towards the students allows for the teacher to create better connections and relationships to better help them.
The purpose for students to go through so many stages to reach their goal of becoming a teacher is to make them more informed and experienced about their career. The professional dispositions allow the students to know how to behave professionally, be ethically professional towards their students as well as colleagues, personally develop their skills as a preservice candidate, and successfully go through the all the stages to become a teacher. In my experiences from K-12, I have never considered a teacher to be unprofessional to my peers or myself. A teacher who comes to school dressed accordingly for work is considered professional.

Schools require a number of vaccinations before enrollment, and a number of jobs also require you to be vaccinated. These measures are taken not only to protect yourself, but also those who you come in contact with. For example, workers in the medical field come in contact with a number of viruses and diseases everyday.
What do you currently teach and where? I am a December graduate of the University of Charleston. I graduated magna cum laude. After graduation I began substituting. I substituted at a variety of schools in Kanawha County in a variety of grades.
In my role as a future educator, I intend to balance the fulfillment of the curriculum's objectives with respect for the distinctive personalities of the students I will teach. I possess a strong preference for the care pedagogy method of education. Integrating care pedagogy into the classroom places the responsibility of providing a safe and caring environment on the educator and emphasizes the value of developing a rapport with the students so that they feel supported. I would like my future students to view me as a compassionate role model through my actions of promoting appropriate self-validation. I will actively work to establish a great deal of importance on my students' character growth as well as their success in education.
I believe each child is unique and deserves to receive the best education they can. Teaching is a very compassionate profession, and isn’t your typical forty hour Monday through Friday job. Today’s children are the future of our society, and as a future educator it is my desire to prepare those children for their future by encouraging respect, having an informal classroom, and allowing the student’s thinking process to help shape the classroom. Children are our future, and I believe the first step in getting them prepared is by having respect for themselves personally, peers and adults among them, and for all other things in their lives. In order for a student to respect me, I need to show the student that I respect them.
As a building principal, I have interviewed, hired, and mentored numerous teachers at Cedar Crest High School. Through this process, I have seen what it takes to develop and become an outstanding educator for students. First and foremost, the individual must be passionate for student learning and willing to go the extra miles. In addition to passion, I believe an outstanding educator is a hard-worker, someone who has lived life in the trenches and knows the value of a good job. Teaching is not a nine to five job, it is a full-time commitment.
Spending late nights grading, dealing with parents, a teacher’s salary isn’t sufficient for the broad job descriptions they are responsible to meet. Although it takes someone with a loving heart to be a teacher, they are suppose to teach what will become of the future. Therefore wouldn’t they have the most important job? In addition to be a successful teacher, first teachers have to go school themselves. Moreover after comparing South Texas College, Texas State University and University of Rio Grande Valley based on my criteria of tuition cost,location, and strength of program, University of Rio Grande Valley would be my best choice in helping me pursue a career in interdisciplinary studies.
As a teacher I plan to be organized and consistent. With the children on this schedule, they will learn time management and consistency from me doing this. However, it is important to be a teacher because teachers are some of the people who are going to leave an impact on the students. Educators are the ones who are going to give life lessons, that in the long run, are going to teach us to be a better person. As children grow up, they will have many different teachers in their life, and one or two of them are going to make a huge difference in their life.
Ever since I was little, in sixth grade, I’ve known that I wanted to make some kind of impact on the world. I’ve known that I wanted people to know me, to love me and to remember me. I wanted to make such an impact on someone’s lives that they told strangers or even their kids about me. I realized this goal when I met one of the most influential men in my life, and no, before you assume things, it is not my father, although he does inspire me in many other ways. My sixth grade math teacher, Mr. Brewer, was and still is one of the goofiest people you could ever meet.
Growing up, I always knew I wanted to become a teacher. I knew it would be challenging, but rewarding with many benefits to come. But no one ever told me it can result in me getting sued. I graduated from Rutgers University in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and I was on my way to finishing up my teaching certification. The following school year I was set to start student teaching, but everything changed when the Superintendent of my old Middle School offered me position teaching math.
I myself am native speaker, and English is my second language, but if it would be me the kid who goes to school in America and everything I study at school is in english and not related to me in anyway, whether it is my language or my history then, of course I would need to learn my native language because I don’t live my homeland and this is my school now that will teach who I would be tomorrow, So yes I agree and support the school system that offers teaching kids their Native Language, because they are teaching kids who they are. I was doing observation at Minnesota Math and Science Academy “Charter School” for my other Education Class, and while I was observing their I realized that 80% of the students at the school belong to same ethnicity background, and I happen to the same question whether they teach kids their native language or
As I mentioned previously, I was the first family member to attend college, and while my family was there to support me they really didn’t understand the college process. Mrs. Gaines is a prime example of how a teacher can make a difference in a student’s life, without her help I may not have attended a four year university, and instead I probably would have opted to go a different route. What she did had a lasting impact on my life and I would like to do the same for my students. Whether that means helping a student through the college process, or assisting them with a dilemma they are facing outside of school. I want to pay it forward by using the teaching skills Mrs. Gaines taught me as well as the experiences we had and bring them into my classroom.
My desire to become a teacher comes from the passion to make the lives of others of higher quality. One day when I have students of my own, I will push all of them to their full potential. My goal as a teacher is to make every student feel appreciated and welcome in the classroom. I've know for quite some time that education is the perfect major for my future.
A teacher plays a significant role in ensuring that course learning objectives are met, and knowledge is passed to the learner. A teacher controls the information taught and manipulates the amount of time allocated to a learning activity. A teacher should be able to create a classroom environment that is inclusive and that fosters participation from the learners. The learning environment should be learner centered and must encourage student’s ability to critically think and build confidence in the knowledge about the subject material.
