As a teacher I plan to be organized and consistent. With the children on this schedule, they will learn time management and consistency from me doing this. However, it is important to be a teacher because teachers are some of the people who are going to leave an impact on the students. Educators are the ones who are going to give life lessons, that in the long run, are going to teach us to be a better person. As children grow up, they will have many different teachers in their life, and one or two of them are going to make a huge difference in their life. With that being said, my third grade teacher made me want to become an educator and ever since then my desire to be a teacher has expanded. But, I want to be an elementary school teacher, so therefore my lectures cannot be too long, because the kids will space off and get bored with it. When going into the education field, you need to understand that there are different types of learners. There are: auditory, visual, tactile, and kinesthetic learners. I will get through to visual learners by pictures, videos, skits, and dancing to a song. I will reach the kinesthetic learners through board games, games, and hands-on activities. For auditory learners, I also will get through to them by lectures and songs. In order to reach the tactile learners, I can make activies up so the kids can actually get up and do it to help them understand it. For example, I can get magnetic numbers so when we do math, the kids can come up and move the numbers. When it comes to assessments or homework, I will use hard copies for anything from a simple worksheet to a test or quiz. Testing is an important part of teaching, because you need to know how well the students are grasping the material. Without testing, I will not know if they understand the material or not, and whether or not to slow down and reteach a lesson or to continue on with a new
