I was eleven years old when I first delivered food boxes to homes in need. In that moment I had no idea I was helping people in a tremendous way. Seeing the blessings and big smiles on people’s faces made me realize what I take so much for granted every day. My dinner was a hope and wish or some children I lived not far rom. Experiencing how much you can help someone with just a box of food, had shown me so much in one day and made me want to continue to help and bless anyone and everyone I could. This is what led me to ask myself, “Who am I?” and “What do I want to do?” This conducted me to want to be a teacher. I want to make a difference in children’s lives the most. “Children are our future”, we teach the doctors and scientists to be. I have loved children since my nephews have come into this world, and I knew then teaching is what I wanted to do. I have also worked at a daycare, and this experience has given me an outlook on the education field and what it will be like. This title defines me as a person. I am asked by many people every day if I’m in school and what I’m majoring in, I tell them, “I want to be a teacher!” I then get a look as if I am crazy, and they wish me good luck. The only problem is they don’t understand why I want to teach. Children are going to grow up to be our doctors, scientists, and our future. How we teach them, will change their outlook on how they want to pursue their lives. I believe just because one child comes from a bad home life, doesn’t mean more than one has to grow up and live that same life. Children can do anything they put their minds too, and because many are not taught this at a young age, when they are adults they believe they can’t pursue their
