A large group of students in the United States makeup a large population of English language learners. Students who are considered English language learners undergo many challenges in their education, and without the necessary support and resources from their educators it can make it hard for them to succeed. A teacher plays a significant role in the success of a child, and it is crucial for them to be able to provide the proper education to students whose first language is not English. It is also very important for teachers to understand the challenges that these students are facing. Having empathy towards the students allows for the teacher to create better connections and relationships to better help them.
Education is one of the most crucial aspects of our society, as it helps to form the future generation. I don’t remember exactly when my interest in teaching really started but I do remember always having the desire to become a teacher and really make a difference in someone’s life. It was honestly my positive experience of education that had a lasting impact on my life and encouraged my energy and passion for teaching. Following this, I further developed my interest in this subject through my academic and extra-curricular activities.
I have taught many students over my career. I have always sought to encourage, support and motivate them so that they could create better lives for themselves. Teaching is an ideal profession to help others determine and reach their potential. And I know that I must continue to develop myself professionally in order to be a better teacher and educator My motivation is to study and research practical consultancy projects with schools and education policy organizations.
What do you currently teach and where? I am a December graduate of the University of Charleston. I graduated magna cum laude. After graduation I began substituting. I substituted at a variety of schools in Kanawha County in a variety of grades.
These careers are among some of the most important professions that have impacted the world in a major way. Good teachers have taught our presidents to read and write, laid the foundation for our surgeons to perform live-saving surgeries, and provided the basics to our judges and lawyers to keep criminals and delinquents off the streets. There are many people who consider teaching as a minor task, but an ample amount of time goes into becoming a successful teacher. They must take on the task of building positive relationships with their students, while simultaneously providing them with the materials and knowledge to be conducive in an ever-changing society. They must dedicate hard time and work just as in any other
In schools of excellence, teachers are the foundation from which all success is built and maintained. Without quality teachers, it doesn’t matter how impressive the facilities are, how much technology is available, how advanced and aligned the curriculum is, or how successful the sports programs are, because exceptional teachers are the bedrock of successful independent schools. As an educational leader, the single most important thing I can do is hire, retain, and cultivate an effective teaching staff. Specifically, I want competent professionals that love children, are passionate about teaching, and continuously strive for improvement. Quality teachers build relationships and trust, and when students feel valued and supported, they are motivated to take risks and are more resilient when encountering setbacks.
My teacher took the standard path to becoming a teacher. He was an English Major at Kean University, from where earned my Bachelor’s degree, and she then went to pursue a Master’s in Education from Rutgers University. Besides the obvious duty of providing an education teachers have extensive duties and responsibilities beyond just making lesson plans, and giving assessments. They are responsible for maintaining a safe teaching environment by maintain discipline in the classroom and also communicating with students and also with their parents about their progress. Many teachers also get involved in coaching sports teams, or sponsoring school clubs and activities.
Staring the beginning of my career as a teacher, I'm moving towards having my own classroom. Being a head teacher you are in charge of what is begin taught in the classroom, and find ways to prepare the children for the next coming years. Working with children ages three too five is the beginning of the child's life, were its important age on who they are as an individual. The school I would like to work with would be public, a spot were all children are welcome, no matter the back ground or were their from. Children at this age are excited to go to school, and meet new friends this age is were their spirits beginning and their enthusiastic.
My teaching philosophy is to develop young children into self-thinking, self-controlling, caring, and independent students. I will create a safe environment for each student to learn, explore, and play. I will have an all-inclusive classroom, no matter what their background, ethnicity, and culture. My guiding principles are that students should be encouraged to work toward their potential and appropriate behaviors should be acknowledged and students are expected to treat one another with respect and dignity. Recognizing the importance of forming a partnership with the parents in order to create a positive experience for the students.
I believe that education is a great tool that has the power to positively impact people and communities and that is a huge reason why it was my dream to become a teacher since I was a little kid looking up to my teachers. As a future educator, I will be dedicated to assisting students in realizing their fullest potential and to become involved and active members of society. I believe that every child has the ability to learn and develop, and it will be my duty as a teacher to help create a classroom where this can happen. To achieve this, I will work on creating a classroom that values diversity, creativity, and critical thinking. I will work to establish positive relationships with my students based on honesty, reverence, and trust.
The purpose for secondary math education is to guide and support adolescents with high quality math that will prepare them for their future endeavors. School is mandatory for all children to attend, so educators must take advantage of the opportunity to be Jesus in every classroom. Although there are limitations to what the teacher can and cannot say, we must be creative and take advantage of the opportunity that is in front of us. “Christian teachers in public schools are “modern-day Daniels,” working in schools that are hostile to their faith” (Brown). So how can I, as a future secondary math educator in the public school system, use my career as a ministry to further the Kingdom of God?
Over the past years littering has become quite a concern for our nation. Everywhere we look and especially during the rainy season, we see rubbish in the muddy water. This happens when we litter without concern. But have we thought about the damage we are doing to the environment? Littering means throwing away waste to any area without any concern about what damage it may cause.
Ever Garrison once said “A teacher is a compass that activates the magnets of curiosity, knowledge, and wisdom in the pupils.” I believe teaching is the most rewarding and important career I can choose to pursue. I want to be the person who brings out that shine in them and encourages them to succeed. The reward of seeing my students succeed and achieve their goals will make my entire preparation to becoming a teacher, worth it. I am choosing this career because I want to help guide these children in the right path and better their chances of being successful.
Natural selection is one of the most essential parts of evolution. Natural selection is what has shaped both the human and animal race to be what it is today. Throught natural selection, characteristics have been changed and passed down in order to increase the survival rate for the next generation. Natural selection is the process of living things evolving gradually through generations. It is not directed from the needs of humans but instead by the challenges of reproduction that are received from the environment.
Student teaching has fanned the fire of my passion for being a teacher and been a light onto the path of how to become the best I can be. Reflecting on each experience, the successful and the not so successful, has encouraged me to continue to persevere and grow from these challenges. Not only did I discover a great deal about teaching but I also learned a great deal about myself. I was able to surpass all the challenges that I have faced.
