I believe that every student has the ability to be successful when they are given the proper tools. I believe that it is the teacher’s job to create a supportive learning environment not only to encourage students but also to work with them to ensure that they are always doing their best. As a teacher, it is my goal to help every student find their strengths and abilities so that they can reach their full potential. Rita F. Pierson once said, "Every child deserves a champion; an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best they can possibly be”. Each child is special and blessed with many different gifts and talents. I promise as a teacher to never give up on my students and to continuously work with them to achieve their goals.
As a teacher, my job is to educate our future generations. To create a better future, I will teach my students the value of their education and how to become lifelong learners. Not only will I teach my students academics, but I will also teach them how to be good people. Creating a better future includes creating a generation built on compassion and respect. I believe this theory is best stated in Benjamin Franklin’s quote; "Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn”. When students are engaged in what they are learning they are receiving a better education. I believe that students should always be actively learning and participating in each lesson. This will not only help them remember what they are taught, but will also increase the value of the lesson. Each child is unique and has a different way of learning. These learning styles should be supported by their teacher. As a teacher, I will work to incorporate these various learning styles into my lessons to ensure that each student is receiving the best education
