Have you ever dreamed of getting your teen out of bed hassle free? It would be so much easier if schools changed the start time from 7:30 to 8:30. This would allow teens to get the proper amount of sleep suggested by doctors. Ninety percent of teens are sleep deprived. Teens not getting the proper amount of sleep is negatively affecting education, causing mental health and physical problems.
Teens should be getting 9 to 9 ¼ hours of sleep a night. The average teen only gets 7 to 7 ½ hours of sleep. Teens can boost their academic performance, reduce tardiness and dropouts, have better focus, sociability and better homework results by getting the proper amount of sleep. Sleep deprivation causes you to have a too-moody-to-do-anything feeling. Getting the recommended amount of sleep makes teens less likely to depend on caffeine to stay awake. Sleep restores metabolism and help with learning, memory and emotional balance. Consquestyly, ninety percent of people who have insomnia have depression.
