Texas Tech university has helped mold me into the man I am today and having 2 degrees from this University would be an honor. The Sport Management field has become so competitive that you almost must have a Master’s degree to be successful. I want to attend Graduate school at Texas Tech University because I have enjoyed my undergrad experience in Sport Management immensely. want to continue to grow in the sports industry and having a Master’s degree would be able to give me that platform. When I search around for jobs almost every single one of them states “Master’s Degree preferred.”
My academic goals is the Sport Management Graduate Program are to receive a GPA 3.0 or higher and to continue to grow my knowledge of the Sports world. One of my major goals also is to continue to network and reach out to as many people as possible. Networking in the sports world is essential and that is a huge goal of mind to get my name out there. In the NFL I would love to either coach, scout, or work in the player personnel department. If I were to work in the college level I would want to coach, become a Director of Football operations, or be a recruiting coordinator. My backup if either one of these routes does not work out is to become a high school teacher and coach. This is another reason I would like to obtain my Master’s here at Texas Tech. With a Master’s degree that allows you to make more money with a Teacher pay scale. If I were to be a teacher this Master’s degree would help me impact kids tremendously that is something I have a deep passion for. I am currently a student manager for the Texas Tech Football program. This a job that I take very seriously and has made me realize how much I want to work in sports.
