In February 2014, deaths, which were never anticipated, shook the community; first known deaths resulted by Marijuana use were reported. However, knowing that pot can lead human to death, many states in America, as well as Canada, are still considering the legalization of Marijuana. Supporters argue by saying that Marijuana is a natural herb, yet it contains many disadvantages, which are the main reasons why legalization should not be brought into action. To clarify, Marijuana should certainly stay illegal because legalization will increase the number of teen pot users and give the illegal traders an opportunity to merchandise Marijuana easily. Accepting the fact that one portion of the tax is used by jailers, who were imprisoned due to their possession of Marijuana, it is understandable that citizens would argue that it is a waste and that it should be used in a more resourceful way. The result came out saying that 10 percent of high school students, who did not touch weed due to religious reasons or not- smoking habits, admitted that they would smoke pot if it is legalized; legalization was giving high school students a thought of Marijuana having no risk and being okay to use if it is legal. Not only a survey proved the increase of youth pot users, but Dr. Stephen Ross, director of addiction psychiatry at NYU Tisch Hospital in New York, mentioned about the legalization of pot, increasing the number of users; it had made teenagers think that there wasn’t a risk in using pot.
