The legalization of Marijuana will not only decrease the crime but it will create a safer place were the people have the freedom to make decisions about their lives. We can relate Marijuana to the time when alcohol was illegal during the 1920’s. During the 1920’s there were a lot of gangsters that made a lot of money by selling alcohol illegally at the secret clubs like now with the drug dealers. It is a fact that marijuana is everywhere like when alcohol was everywhere in the 1920’s even though it was illegal. The only difference from now and then is that now the crime with alcohol has ended and the people are free to choose whether to consume alcohol or not when they reach adulthood. Therefore the people shouldn’t be deprived from their right to decide whether to consume marijuana or not since at the end of the day consuming it is not mandatory but a decision. Marijuana should be legal to consume to the public as long as the consumer is 21 or older in order to make sure that the person is old enough and conscious of the decision he or she is making. …show more content…

Although I believe that this concern will only last of a while if marijuana is legalized since the same concerns happened when alcohol was legalized but now we see alcohol as something normal and the consumption of it is a decision.
