As I contemplate on what I hope to to obtain from a college, California Baptist University surfaces. I first encountered with them when I attended a field trip to the college fair with my junior class. I spoke to a representative who instantly made me feel welcomed. We conversated about what career path I wanted to undertake, I responded with education. I was then informed that CBU was recognized for their education program. That sparked my interest. However, one component that enticed me was how it is centered around Jesus Christ. While growing up, my life was never focused around religion. Since CBU is religious, I believe my education will be more gratifying to attain. Even though my religion is not as intense as I would like it to be, I trust in Jesus. I know he has a specific path for everyone he has created. Ever since I was in kindergarten, I have always had this desire of being a teacher. Progressing into my teen years, I had the privilege of taking on opportunities where I believe God has revealed me to skills he has bestowed me with that has made my aspiration of being a teacher more clear. Specifically, I have been able to attend a dance studio in my town since I was three years old and it has become my second home. During this time, I have been given opportunities such as being a teacher’s assistant and now I am even teaching classes. Moreover, I have also had the opportunity at my high school of taking an elective called Education Intern. In this, we are separately placed in a class of our grade level choice and we work with the children. The teacher will give us chances to teach a lesson or to work in small groups and help the kids. It is basically demonstrating to us what a teacher’s duties are and giving us a taste of their responsibility. Furthermore, from these experiences I have realized I have a passion for teaching. Being involved in these activities has exposed traits I have such as patience, adaptability, compassion, and enthusiasm. I believe these
