Continuing Student Scholarship Essay
Ever since my first time at Westminster I knew I wanted to go to school here. I was in eighth grade and I attended a summer camp for girls interested in math and science. Westminster felt magical to me. The amazing architecture of the Westminster campus is what I thought a college campus should look like. Even in the eighth grade I knew that Westminster was the place I belonged. I knew it would take a lot of dedication and hard work to get there. That’s what I did I earned good grades in high school in addition I also was a member of numerous clubs, sports teams and organizations that helped prepare me for college.
During my first year at college, Westminster has enriched my life in more ways that I can explain. I have impacted the Westminster community in many more ways then I can count. The single most important way Westminster impacted me; was how my professors and my fellow students made me feel, as I was part of a large family. I made close relationships with my professors that I have never felt before. I felt as I could trust them and in return they cared about my education and my future goals. I enriched the Westminster by voicing my opinions, helping others, and being involved in campus activities. I hope the impact I have on others will stay with them and in return they will try to be a better person or have the confidence I learned while at my first year at Westminster. Another highlight of this year is going to sporting events and campus activities. I love sports and cheering on my fellow students and friends. The activities have helped me feel part of the college since I do not live on campus. Sometimes you feel isolated from everything living off campus but the sporting events and SAC events give me the chance to be part of the Westminster
