Evidence of Meeting Learning Outcomes The school counseling world is constantly evolving. Before, the ASCA National Model was introduced, the school counselors provided need-only academic and/or vocational guidance counseling, and had limited role in the developmental growth of the students in other capacities. The ASCA National Model provides the universal framework for fostering academic, career, and personal/social development in students. The ASCA National Model also ensures that schools establish a comprehensive school counseling program that focus toward improving student achievement (www.schoolcounselor.org). To be effective in implementing a comprehensive school counseling program, it requires collaborative efforts between administrators and other staff, school counselors, and the community. Hence, the role of the school counselor has evolved to include leadership, advocacy, and collaboration in order to promote systemic change (www.schoolcounselor.org).

The data should show the impact that the school counseling program has on the students, positive or negative. From the results, the school counselor can make proposals to improve in the areas in which the school counseling program has shown weaknesses. On the other hand, in the areas where there are proven strengths, the school counselor can possibly use these data to draft and submit grant proposals.
