A desire to understand and examine the intersection of law and business serves as the guiding force behind my legal education, professional pursuits and my desire to join MBELR. As “a practitioner-focused legal journal”, the content produced and engaged in by students will serve them well in the practice of law rather than theoretical circumstances. My goal is to become a transactional lawyer therefore understanding the legal challenges faced by corporations and institutional investors is an essential part of becoming a successful practitioner. As a member of MBELR, I feel I can contribute a desire to produce work for publication, a demonstrated dedication to collaboration within a team, and an academic interest in corporate law. I routinely collaborated with my grade level to organize learning units, plan lessons, and analyze student assessment data. I also served as an advisor to new corps members in Teach for America at the beginning of their development as teachers. Most importantly, I feel like the internalized mantra I adopted for my classroom, “Be Responsible, Reliable, Respectful and Resilient” will make me an easy person to work with on a journal. I will be responsible and take ownership of all tasks given to me. I will be a reliable person who meets deadlines and turns in impeccable work product.
