As a hopeful future undergraduate at IUPUI, I am eager to participate in the nursing program. Currently I am taking a class at my high school that will allow me to become a certified nursing assistant if I pass the state exam. Although I have only started this school year, I can tell that I have found my passion through nursing. With this simple goal, I plan to focus on my school work and dedicate my time at IUPUI. Besides the school aspect, I also want to participate in numerous extracurricular activities offered.
As a current pre-medical student and an aspiring physician, I want to gain as many worthwhile and educational experiences as possible during my undergraduate career. I believe participation in a CFHI program will empower me to improve my understanding of the rigors of healthcare while simultaneously allowing me to make an impact on people's lives. Observing and participating in the opportunities this experience offers can only benefit me down the road as a future physician as I continue to learn what being a doctor really entails. I am also very interested in developing my language skills and applying my Spanish studies to healthcare. 1.
As an individual with a passion of stepping into the lives of others during testing times towards making life easier, I am determined to develop a fulfilling career as a nurse practitioner. Having graduated in BSN from Barry University in 2014, currently I am serving the emergency department at SMH as a registered nurse. My fervor of transforming into an impeccable nursing professional through sharpening my knowledge and skills has inspired me to continue my education. At present, I am enrolled for the Master of Science in Nursing program at the Nursing School of Barry University and getting specialized in Nurse Practitioner Acute Care. I look forward to graduating in 2020.
As an aspiring physician, I believe that ILS will prepare me for success both inside and outside of the classroom. Through the connections, opportunities, and support I will receive in the ILS program, I know that I will best be prepared to apply to medical school. I value mentorship and am excited to have access to faculty mentors to guide me in my progress. The close community between peers and professors intrigues me to join this community and learn from a like-minded community. I am specifically excited to take new courses such as HLSC208, to learn about connections between molecular biology and computer programming.
What is your reason for wishing to attend ISLI, and what do you think you can offer to the experience? I wish to attend ISLI to not only better my leadership capabilities but to better Lakenheath, it’s reputation in DODEA, and my peers. I wish to better Lakenheath and it’s reputation because the school has given much to me through programs such as JROTC, which develops my leadership skills and encourages me to seek out leadership so I can lead my peers to unimaginable heights. Lakenheath has also taught me that I can become a leader and I want all of DODEA to know that Lakenheath is a wonderful school with amazing people that fosters an atmosphere of responsibility and leadership. I wish to attend ISLI to better my peers because I believe everyone has a leader inside them, but everyone needs to be guided on how to express that particular skill.
I am applying to a CFHI Global Health Education Program as part of my practicum experience. I am currently a pursuing my Master’s in Global Health at Northwestern University and will engage in four weeks of non-clinical work in a health delivery setting as part of my practicum course. A CFHI program will allow me to grow professionally and personally. This program will provide me with a practical fieldwork experience that will complement with I have learned through the different courses for my Master’s program. I am also applying to obtain a global health experience and have an ethical, professional, and personal development by learning, understanding and developing different skills such as leadership, teamwork, cultural competence, problem-solving skills, and service orientation.
Next fall I will be fresh out of high school and I hope to study at Indiana University, because IU has an excellent medical science program. This is why IU’s medical program is the best choice for my academic and career plans for the future. My academic plans as an undergraduate at Indiana University are to study medical laboratory science. I have chosen to study in medical laboratory science because I have always loved science and discovered that I wanted to pursue a future career in a medical lab while taking a course called the principles of biomedical science my junior year. Another major that major that Indiana University offers that interest me is scientific research; this major interest me because of the possibility of making a new discovery
Crawford County High School’s senior graduation is coming fast upon me in May 2018. Choosing a career and college is a huge lifelong decision with many financial considerations. After multiple college tours and evaluating the degrees offered, I have decided to attend Indiana University Southeast. IUS is a 45 minute commute and the beautiful serene campus offers everything I need to achieve my educational goals and social aspirations. My mother and older sister are both IU alumni and have inspired me to pursue my education at IUS.
Over my years of going to camp I have had many councilors all with different styles, and personalities, but they all had one major theme in common, they were there for the kids and nothing else. They put aside their own interests, and needs to take care of the children who attend camp. They forego better paying jobs because they love the children. This is what a councilor is, someone who puts his or her own needs aside to help a child, and make them feel outstanding. I believe that I have the qualities needed to be a stellar councilor.

Growing up loving numbers and science, I would love to continue to study in a STEM field, and major in a STEM area. At UW-Madison I believe that I can get an amazing education and get the background I need to be successful in a STEM field. With the class sizes varying from small to large, I know I can meet a variety of people, and have a variety of resources to ask my classmates, as well as professors if I have questions. I am excited about your STEM immersion program because of how it gives students help and guides them so they can get college started right. This helps not only give me a great start to college, but a great resource to have a group of friends with similar interests to mine.
Having success with a skill or talent takes passion, hard work, and determination. While everyone has a passion and interest for something not everyone is gifted with the ability to perform their talents at the highest level without effort. Those who do have a natural talent for something they are passionate about are blessed. I personally feel like I am gifted in the area I am passionate about which is working with animals. I have had an interest in this area since I was 10 years old.
I have set a number of goals for myself, that I hope to complete during my lifetime. One of those goals include furthering my education in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Additionally, I want be of benefit to the communities I live in by giving back. I feel that learning in the context of aviation and aerospace during high school benefits me immensely, by giving me a head start in the field before I even reach university. I believe that education is the key that unlocks doors that would otherwise be closed for people that lack the expertise or skills needed to be successful in their chosen fields.
I am applying to the Radiation Health Physics graduate program of study at Oregon State University. I have been a high school physics, mathematics, and engineering teacher for nearly the past ten years. My personal experiences in education at a small, rural school district in Western Pennsylvania have helped shape my vision and practices. It has been through these experiences that I have gained the confidence to believe I am far more capable than I had thought only ten years earlier. I am ready to apply my knowledge of physics, electronics, computer programming, and digital modeling techniques to Radiation Physics and make a greater impact on the world at large.
Many people have a role models or people they look up to in their field of interest as they approach the life decisions of choosing a major in college. Whether it may be a doctor, lawyer, engineer, or businessman, someone you admire inspires you and the value-based decisions you make on your path to success. For me, I have two role models. My friend Scott and my sister have always been by my side to guide me through life’s challenges and with every decision that I choose to act upon. I made a pact to myself that when I am older, I will surpass them.
