The poem “Paul Revere’s ride” written by Longfellow is far from a reliable source for many reasons. Paul Revere wrote a letter himself about what happened that night, and so did Longfellow but whose side is more reliable? The man who allegedly saved a village from the British on his own and his words or Longfellow’s story about what happened. Many things Longfellow claims happened on the night of the British attack don’t match Paul’s letter.
I believe the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Science, and the Arts is the right place to continue my studies, because I love how the classes are based on the U of A academic system and that ASMSA offers an opportunity to obtain advanced college level knowledge before high school graduation. That being said, ASMSA still has a college life atmosphere which I think prepares the students to be more adjusted to what real college will be like. I also enjoy the fact that your professors are eager to help at almost any given time. On top of that, ASMSA will teach me viable skills like researching skills, time management skills, and self-discipline, also it will give me the great privilege of graduating with at least 30 concurrent hours which will
I believe ASMSA is the right place for me to continue my studies. ASMSA will offer me many challenges that I am excited to overcome. I do not feel like I am challenged enough, so I will be looking forward to having these challenges. Also, I believe that ASMSA will provide me an environment that will be beneficial not only to my educational performance but also my life beyond High School. I believe that ASMSA will prepare me for college, as well as assist me in harnessing my skills and utilizing my interests so that I will lead a successful and happy life.
Alabama School of Mathematics and Science is a riveting high school that I would love to become a student of. I believe that I deserve an opportunity to enroll because I wish to prepare for my future as best as I can, I have an interest in the school’s courses and activities, and ASMS provides a better learning experience than my current school. I know that ASMS would greatly prepare me for my future. I wish to attend college and medical school to become a psychiatrist, and ASMS would ready me for the hardships of both. It would also give me the chance to explore my options to see if that really is the path I wish to follow for my career.
As an individual, I have always aimed to achieve superior accomplishments. Admission to the Illinois Math and Science Academy (IMSA) is one of such primary goals I hope to attain in my high school years. There will be so many new opportunities that unfold with acceptance to a school of such a high caliber. I will gain positive characteristics, which will allow me to take bigger strides to become more successful in life. Not only will I profit from attending this school, but I will also contribute to and enhance the school with a richness that is special to me.
Moving from a small sleepy mountain town in Northern Arizona to the bustling monstrous city of Las Vegas, Nevada fulfilled many of my goals in just a four hour drive. I am eighteen years old, it seems hardly reasonable to have an eighteen year old that has a hard time making the minuscule decision of what to have for dinner- make the decision of what to do for the rest of their life. I know the world is full of opportunities and I plan on taking advantage of as many as possible. Taking this class is an opportunity in itself. During my time in HMD 101 I hope to network with industry executives, deepen my passion for the hospitality and culinary industry, create positive relationships with my peers who are soon to be my colleagues, soak up every ounce of knowledge my professor and teaching assistants
My admission to the Coast Guard Academy Scholars Program at Marion Military Institute (MMI) has provided me the exceptional academic opportunity to prepare me for success at the Academy this fall. MMI has emphasized the importance of skills such as teamwork, communication, and time-management in its curriculum. I consider these core competencies to be vital to be an effective future cadet and commissioned officer. By stressing the importance of teamwork and communication during my orientation and academic study, my fellow classmates and I forged a strong, collegial bond that will endure through the Academy and our future careers as officers. Learning the importance of teamwork and interpersonal communication helped us become more comfortable with our roles and responsibilities confiding with each other to help improve our team performance.
I have the knowledge, ability, and skills to work expeditiously through the program. My excellent communication skills give me the ability to relate well to all people.
Growing up in a technology focused generation, has allowed me to gain an extreme amount of knowledge and passion for it. I think that their efforts to create strong and lasting programs that will change the focus of how we view and use technology is exciting. As being a marketing major, I would be able to work hands on with the advertising of these products. I would be able to address potential investors and buyers confidentially and sell them on these innovative products. Since I am so passionate with advertising and technology, I think being a part of this company would be a great resume builder.
ASMSA is the right place for me. If I am invited to attend ASMSA, I will be living, studying, and working with students from across Arkansas with different backgrounds that have interests and hobbies similar to my own. I will be taking accelerated courses provided by outstanding teachers at one of the nation’s top schools, and many of these courses align perfectly with my interests and career prospects. I will also have a new community of learning that I will be able to contribute to in multiple ways. The first reason ASMSA is the place for me to live, study, and work at is the community and environment.
I believe ASMSA is the right place for me to continue my studies because I will be in an environment where I am surrounded by other people who share my passion for learning. I currently attend a school where, although there are many knowledgeable students, most students view class an annoying obligation. I, however, appreciate going to classes where I am challenged and where I am able to learn new information. I prefer to take courses that are demanding but also fascinating. My current school is one of the best in the state, but the classes they are able to offer me, especially in the field of mathematics, are unsatisfactory.
Please tell us why you would like to participate in the mentoring program? (250 limit) I would love to gain insight into the public relations and advertising industry, as I believe that the occupation requires knowledge and skills to identify and capitalise on the opportunities on a local level. I hope to receive guidance to work on my inadequacies, and increase my understanding of the Australian workplace environment. Please describe where you would like to see your career in 5 years?
Regardless of where my future leads me, I want to establish a high ethical standard and provide a positive contribution to society. Since I was young, my family has always stressed the importance of commitment. They’d used to say, “Go big, or go home!” I kept those words in mind throughout my high school experience. Whether it is tennis, AP classes, or extracurricular activities, I’ve committed myself to be the best that I can be.
To align my current role with these long-term career goals, I am actively seeking opportunities for professional development, skill enhancement, and leadership growth. I am pursuing advanced certifications, participating in relevant workshops and training programs, and engaging in networking activities to expand my knowledge and connections within the field. Additionally, I am seeking projects and responsibilities that allow me to strengthen my strategic decision-making abilities, hone my leadership skills, and contribute to meaningful outcomes that align with my long-term vision for my career. At the moment, I am not searching for any specific jobs or internships in the field of study, but by next semester I will have a few options in line. I am highly interested in working with the local government since I feel like I can get a better understanding and experience of how the community works hand in hand with the government and officials.
I would like to pursue a combined MD/PhD program because I want to perform and apply research to the treatment of patients. The MD program alone would give me the opportunity to treat patients, but my strong desire to study the mechanisms of disease would be better satisfied with a degree that allows me to do both clinical and lab work interchangeably. I am willing to make the personal sacrifices necessary to acquire this education, and I believe my path from a small rural school to where I am now, as well as my performance and dedication throughout, demonstrates my ability to handle the load. Through this dual program, I could serve small communities like my own while contributing to the overall understanding of the mechanisms of disease or the function of the human body. I can help progress both patient care and, hopefully, humanity as a whole.
