My experience with the class, Management 3120 with Professor Guangbo Ge has been much more than I expected. Throughout the course, I learned so many new things about management and life skills. I learned how businesses work and how the job of a manager is very significant in every company. In addition, I’ve also learned that everyone is capable of becoming a manager. In this survey, I was asked questions about the work environment. My score was between 45 and 60, which suggested that I had no clear preference between organic and mechanistic structures. The next assessment was the International / Global Manager Potential Scale assessment. This assessment was designed to tap dimensions associated with success as an international executive. My score was around a 70, which indicates that I have a strong potential for success in a global management position. Although I didn’t state my weakness, I believe that managers also have to have very good time management skills because the workload is always so demanding. Time management is one of my greatest weaknesses because I usually get work done last minute and I never have any time for myself to do the things I enjoy. People say that time is money, and I completely agree with this statement because the time you’re to do something unproductive can instead be towards something more productive such as working, learning or building new experiences. If my time management skills remain the way they are, it’ll start to become a habit and when I am in the work field, I will always unorganized and be unable to meet the demands of business. This will definitely get in the way of my success. I believe that one way to overcome this habit is to get my priorities straight, get what needs to be done first and try to have a more organized life. These are some of the ways that I can improve myself
