Should marijuana intake be legal?
One of the topical questions of this century is whether marijuana should be legal or not. Many television documentaries have been made to examine the use of marijuana on people whether it be medical or recreational. One of the most famous ones is of these children with a severe case of epilepsy and they are given marijuana and it really eases the pain on the families who have to deal with that. This is an example of why marijuana should be legalized. Marijuana should be legalized for economic, medical, and industrial purposes.
Hemp is a substance created by a type of marijuana. The definition of this peculiar word is high-growing varieties of the Cannabis plant and its products. It is said that as much as 500 million dollars in taxes have been made by the states that have legalized it. One of the newest states to legalize recreational and medical pot is Colorado. As quoted from the video on msnbc, "“60 million dollars in taxes, licenses and fees, has been made” (Min 5:48), and that is only after a full year. Money acquired from marijuana dispensaries can be used on important government matters such as the Environmental Protection Agency. The carbon footprint on planet earth can be significantly decreased by legalizing the sale of marijuana. Since life is not fair, of course, there are drawbacks.
