The National Honors Society is an phenomenal organization that allows students to help children, the elderly, and other organizations. I would be honored to join this organization because of the endless opportunities that it presents to me. Joining NHS would allow me to continue to grow as a person while helping others in the process. I have shown examples of scholarship, character, leadership and service over the years i’ve been in high school that I believe meets the standards to qualify for this extraordinary organization. My parents instilled honesty, respect, manners and integrity in me at a very young age. I will always do what is best for me when it comes to school and my work career, I will do whatever it takes to succeed and graduate highschool and then college. Leadership means “the action of leading a group of people or an organization.” I believe I have always shown these qualities even as a child, I would never follow what someone else did, I’d always try to make my own path in sports, school, work and other activities. When I am at work I tend to take charge in hectic situations, I will do whatever is needed to accomplish the task at hand. In school I show leadership by turning in all my homework and always doing what the teacher says, I will always strive for greatness in school. As for service I have volunteered and also worked for St. Michael's Church & School for over a year in 2015. As a volunteer and employee at St. Michael’s I would help the teachers watch the children and I would engage in activities with the children, Like helping them read books, build puzzles or even open up their imagination by drawing shapes and asking them what they thought they could
