At Portland State University, my goal is to attain a Bachelor of Science degree, and major in Computer Science. I am incredibly interested in computer programming, and am currently studying python, as part of a computer science course at my school. Recently, I went to preview day, which was the first moment that I visited PSU, and what I saw motivated me to apply. The beautiful campus, the clubs, and the way PSU weaves itself into the community are just a few reasons I’m eager for next year. The diversity I witnessed walking through each building was exhilarating, as well as the distinctive interests and talents of others. Not only are internships necessary, but they will help gain an understanding of what it'll be like to work with others, and cooperate on a lengthy project. I would also learn what kind of knowledge and work ethic the job expects me to have. On another note, going to a four-year college and getting a degree is a big commitment, nevertheless, I have always been one to continue through with my plans. Running has always been a passion of mine, and I’ve been on the varsity cross country and track team for three years to date. Throughout the season, we practice Monday through Friday with races on Saturdays. Going every day is a tremendous effort, however, I am willing to do it for something I love. My teammates and I constantly compete among ourselves. We find that competition forces us to become greater runners, and we do whatever it takes to improve. During the track season, meets are long, usually starting at noon, and continuing till ten at night. All varsity runners stay until the end of the meet, our proposition is we show up together, and we leave
