Hi my name’s Angel and I will be majoring in Environmental Science and Management and attempting to double major in Environmental Engineering or Marine Biology. What environmental engineering and scientist do is essentially attempt to create a better relationship between the natural world and the human world. The reason why I choose this field is because I learned of how our current relationship with the natural world is. We are polluting our air and water leading to our homes and families, and it's not because we choose to but because we cannot choose otherwise. I want to be part of a team that changes this and transform communities to become healthier and stronger for future generations. After being removed from the team I dedicated myself to become a better student and person to be able to return to the team. After three years I was able to become Pit/Shop Manager, one year of waiting to return to the team, one year to be a regular member and showing how much I had changed and finally the last year unanimously elected by 40 members to Pit/Shop Manager. This relates to my study because if I wanna be able to impact the world on a large scale it cannot be alone, working as a team and gaining the respect of your fellow pears builds a great work environment where everyone is able to flourish.This also relates to my future goals because one of my biggest goals is to graduate from a university. This requires years of commitment and study and begin able to already know what it means to be committed and never giving up will help me pull through college even in the darkest times. Three years is little compared what my future studies is going to be but I’m ready to take it on no matter how much it takes. What sets me apart is the experience I have been through as Pit/Shop Manager. This experience not only impacted my work ethic but me as a person. Having a team look to up to you and having to shoulder the responsibility of the fixing, maintaining, and improving the robot that everyone poured 6 weeks, at minimum 20 hours a week is incredible and changes you. The experience I gained is one of a kind and has me prepared to enter the real world armed with knowledge, social skills, leadership and
