I have always been fascinated by the world around me and the nature of reality, I thoroughly enjoy philosophy and my love for it sparked when I began studying it at AS level, Philosophy, for me, is the basis of our lives, it stimulates the mind and encourages one to question all that is around us. Many people are frustrated by the way in which philosophy cannot provide a definite answer, however this to me is captivating in itself. When I was introduced to psychological approaches to philosophy it furthered my interest and I thought that the two complemented each other which urged me to want to study both areas at degree level.

Studying maths has allowed me to reason and work with highly abstract concepts. It has allowed be to process and interpret given information and allowed me to manipulate intricate ideas along with allowing me the skill of perseverance.
