I believe that my strengths as of now in my educational career are cooperation with parents and families, teaching within the context of culture and being the teacher as a facilitator to students’ experiences. The reason I feel as if these are my strengths are due to my exposure to such things in life already and from the information found when looking into these tasks. Being a coach and tutor to little kids allowed for me to get a lot of experience with dealing with families and parents. These real world situations are where I learned a lot about how parents can react and may be during the education process. After lessons and assignments about dealing with these situations I feel as if I am more prepared then I ever was to be able to work with parents and create systems to get them more involved in their student’s education. All students will be different and have different things that have got them to where they are today. Having to teach children in the past how to perform task and realizing that the one way a kid might learn will more than likely not work for all the other kids. I have learned through that experience and class that accommodations are very necessary based on the experience of the students. Not all students are going to have the same background information or level of exposure to things as others. The ability to realize this and getting to build bonds with these students will help figure out what systems will work for them. These are the two biggest strengths that I believe I possess is the ability to adapt to the experiences of others and the ability to deal with parents. Both of these could use fine tuning as I do not believe I have mastered any of these skills yet but I believe that out of the components these are my stronger
