There are about 205,000 people who work as a nurse practitioner in the US. I do not know about you, but I would like to make the number increase up to 205,001. For many young girls, like myself, want to help save lives and we don’t even have to save their life but just help them. This is why a nurse practitioner would be the best job too have. They don’t do major surgeries or anything like that but they do help just enough to keep someone healthy.
Profile Essay While working several shifts in an Alzheimer's unit in a local care facility, I had the opportunity to meet a registered nurse named Sarah. Sarah had plenty of insight on what it is like being a nurse in a facility. Nursing is something I really enjoy doing. I love to take care of older people and helping people with their daily needs because I love being around my older generation. I’m very respectful when it comes to my older people. I’m always on time and I love to get the job done on time and in an orderly manner. This is why I think I would be a great registered nurse.
I have always had a passion for furthering my education, and in the nursing field there are many opportunities to do that. As a recent inpatient, I was able to connect with my nurses and find a perfect connection between my love for people and the career itself. However, in my care I noticed that people were not always walking out of the hospital with the confidence that I wanted them to. When I become a registered nurse, I am confident that I will make a difference in the nursing environment so that patients are able to leave the institution stronger than they came in. Throughout High School I have participated in sports every year sense Middle School in order to be eligible to play we are required to get a physical at our local clinics. My overall health seems to be in good condition according to my doctor I'm healthy as can be. No one is perfect sometimes it's hard to stay on top of our routines. Sometimes it's hard to eat healthy and exercise everyday and sometimes we just give in to Temptation the temptation of eating junk food. Like any other person there are many things we need to improve on things that I need to improve on is to promote a healthy lifestyle if I'm going to be a successful health care worker I need to promote a healthy lifestyle.
You walk in the door, you see wheelchairs, walkers, and canes everywhere in a quiet lobby with seniors that are resting their eyes, chit chatting or just watching the world go by. This is what I experience every Friday, since the summer of 2015, at Alden of Waterford healthcare facility. This experience is where my passion has grown to become a nurse, and where I have decided to improve healthcare by trying to give individual and necessary resources to as many people as possible. Since I have been attending this home, I have gained an abundance of knowledge about my self-concept.
No perfect moment intervened, it was a gradual realization that nursing is a perfect career for me. Scholarship Personal Statement Throughout high school, it has been my dream and aspiration to someday become a registered nurse, in the future. Nursing has always appealed to me, even though I do not understand the many facets of a nursing profession. I have always wanted to be involved in working in a healthcare setting as I spent numerous time in the hospital during my childhood, and for the birth of my daughter in 2015. I have been away from academic studies for 4 years, but I made the decision to return back. Personal Statement My professional goal is to attend college at the University of Hawaii at Manoa campus to take a 4-year degree in Nursing. I chose this career because this is what I always dreamed of to be since I was young. Every time we visited the doctor’s office, I was always amazed of how the nurse is dressed in white and how skillful she was in helping the doctor. Whenever I have a doctor’s appointment, I would observe how the nurse would check my weight and height, my pulse, my blood pressure, and my temperature.
