My field of study within Cal Poly Pomona is Business Management with a Human Resources concentration. I first became interested in this field of study from my past experience of serving in the United States Marine Corps. While serving in the Unites States military, I was required to attend a small unit leadership course known as Corporals Course. This military leadership course focused on effective team building, individual mentoring, and motivational concepts. Shortly after completing this leadership course, I was promoted to the rank of Sergeant at the age of twenty-two.
Nido Quebin, a successful businessman and motivational speaker, once said “Nothing can add more power to your life than concentrating all your energies on a limited set of targets.” My main priority and most important goal in my life right now is to do exactly that. I plan on concentrating all of my energies into my education, working towards a limited set of targets composed of complete knowledge, and the understanding of business management in all of its aspects. A degree in management appeals to me because it reinforces the possibility of obtaining a leadership role in the future.
It was Monopolies that caught my attention to business management, a career I would like to pursue. I learned that I enjoy the process of strategizing. As I planned, organized, and direct the activities of various events, the feeling of accomplishment fulfills me. This influenced my choice to pursue business management, my undergraduate major. I love business management because the theory behind
When I chose my undergraduate major, I chose organizational leadership because it was practical for the field I was currently employed. Now that I have more career experience in business, I am ready to continue my education in a field that I have grown to love and admire. I am looking forward to following this passion and developing a more robust understanding of business
I want to go into the field of business and management in the future, I do not know what specifically I would like to do in that field but with being in DECA and in MIS at Pottstown High School I know I am completely interested in that field of work. I enjoy being actively involved in clubs like DECA and NHS because I compete with others to be the best academically. I know I can take on this opportunity and get my college credits done early.
By obtaining my MBA, I will have an essential tool to allow me to progress up to administrative positions. I believe MBAs will soon become a required degree to advance in the field of engineering. I will focus on the business side of engineering more than the actual calculations and designing. From the numerous projects that I have completed over the years as an undergraduate I have come to realize that, I am not as gifted as others in the engineering field who can create and design far beyond what I am capable of. I however, find that I am better at managing, finding what people are best at, and getting them to get the work done to reach all our requirements.
I am a first year student In the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. I just started my first semester in this winter 2016. Currently, I am taking the four following courses in Commerce: Business Communications, Collaborative leadership, Macroeconomic, and Management of the Enterprises. I am writing this letter in order to assess myself in switching from Commerce major in marketing into Information Technology major of Networking & IT Security to start in the summer. As I know, three of these courses are required in Information Technology program, which make it easier for me to take INFR courses directly.
The experience has proven that I am adaptable, and I have the ability to solve complex problems in a stressful situation.
Everybody has something to give to the world, and each person’s gift is unique to themselves. To benefit others within my community and my profession as a youth pastor, I will display my empathetic and kind-hearted personality and my passion for serving others. I am a motivated person, especially when it comes to creating a positive change in the world. Through this passion, the world receives compassion in a time that it is desperately needed, which I am ecstatic to continue to give. Through the experience I have received from volunteering with my youth group, I can continue reaching out to others and work for an education in ministry to ultimately become a youth pastor and leave a lasting influence on the world through the relationships
Sport in itself is fun, healthy and rewarding. Although this is my personal view, it is more than likely shared with many more people around the world. I have always had a passion for sport, I was always a very active child and have been into competitive sport for years. My first experience in sports was joining a local martial arts club that taught Tae Kwon Do. I took part in Tae Kwon Do since i was four, I continued to progress and when I turned 11 I gained my black belt, this was my first insight into sports and fuelled my passion and enthusiasm to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
I have decided to earn my Master's in Business Administration from the College of Business at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. This decision was made entirely on my desire to take the next step in my life, and achieve more for myself. With an MBA degree I will be able to have a deeper understanding of my passion, which is business. I have a passion to lead, overcome obstacles, and succeed where doubt was placed. Looking back, I can honestly say that I never tried near as hard as I could have, and succeeded only to the point of meeting expectations.
This education will help me in the future, not only will it build a career but it will open countless opportunities beyond that. I am dedicated to furthering my education so that I can help those in the world around me. Those that people do not understand. Those that do not even understand
When I was a child, my family would tell me stories about my grandmother. I would hear how she raced down nineteen flights of stairs because my sister, who was a child at the time, accidently entered the elevator and went down by herself. If my family was going through difficult times, she was there to make sure everyone got out unharmed. My grandmother was an immortal woman, who could do anything and survive anything thrown her way. That was, until the last test came her way, when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
To me, college is about new experiences—new places, new people, and new cultures. Throughout my life, I have been driven to expand my horizons academically and socially. Attending college on the mainland and studying abroad will further challenge and broaden my views in the classroom and real world. Also, I will have the ability to develop my strengths and knowledge necessary for a career in marketing.
George Bernard Shaw once asserted, “He who can, does; he who cannot, teaches.” I have heard this quote uttered by numerous people throughout my life, but I never accepted it as true. If anything, I believe the opposite is applicable. A teacher not only has to be able; he or she must understand and have the ability to demonstrate that understanding. In any other profession, a person’s salary increase or value is evaluated solely by his or performance; however, a teacher’s success is gauged by the achievement of his or her many students.
