I have been interested in Business since secondary school when I was studying Business Studies as my GCSE option. In my opinion I think I have the ability and talent to create a career opportunity in a Business industry. My enthusiasm for Business grew from my family. We have a small retail organisation based in Bradford and I was interested in how the business was running and how much profit it was generating. I want to make a career in Business related course to open a path where I can gain more knowledge in this area. When I chose single Business and Computing AS in Sixth form it turned out to be a mesmerising and interesting topic which offers limitless professional chances in the real world. One unit which I am currently studying and I have found very interesting is the Business Environment. Throughout this unit I have gained knowledge on the business strategies and different types of managements. I have gained deep understanding of marketing and market, finance, recruitment and selection, policies and business acts. Some of the skills which I have learnt will support me in future when working in a Business industry. A skill which I have gained was good teamwork when preparing presentations on a selective business and presenting it in front of pupils. Another skill I have obtained was good communication which is an essential skills, which was used during the group work task I was set as part of the Business course. I have improved on my time management as my group had met the deadline and targets for the presentation. This was an important skill because it will help me in future when presenting in front of clients on behalf of my firm to persuade them with our creative ideas.
