Animal testing. One of the most hotly debated and highly controversial topics that have spanned decades, between both scientists and animal right organisations with supposedly irrefutable arguments on both sides. However, after thorough analysis, it has come to my attention that this currently inconsequential battle is flawed due to inconclusive and close-minded evidence on the part of the animal rights organisations.The real question is why do people and organisations defiantly oppose animal testing? These people claim that animal testing is not only highly expensive, but that that the excruciating agony endured by these creatures is unignorable. However I wish to argue that animal testing should be acquiesced in society as it is the only way forward. Furthermore, I would like to stress the fact that I’m a firm supporter of animal testing but never an advocate of animal cruelty as there is a fine line between them. However, if they believe so, they are merely ignorant to the current procedures as the US Government introduced a policy known as “The Care and Use of animals used in testing,research and training” in 1983 meaning that all animal testing should only happen if the animal was sedated or was tranquilized using either; Diazepam, midazolam, acepromazine and Domitor and other medical drugs. Moreover the practice of animal testing has lead to nearly 70% of the world to live longer due to their illness being diagnosed and cured.
