Did you know that in the United States nearly 1 million dogs are abused/killed each year? According to PETA, China produces 50% of the fur and send it to the US, when most Chinese kill dogs and cats or abuse them to death. Most people never think about the source of the fur they wear, or how did that cosmetics brand tested out their product they usually use before selling it. The only victims in all these issues are animals. Animal abusing isn’t and will never be a minor issue, if all these animals are killed and harmed, it’s like diminishing food sources, and this is just nothing comparing to the other effects. Animal abusing isn’t just by being harsh with your pet, or with any of those stray cats and dogs, animals are also abused in fashion industries and laboratory experiments. Here is another shocking statistic: would you wonder that more than 110 million animals are killed in those experiments for food, cosmetics and chemical testing each year? As we know, babies and mentally retarded people do not have duties. If only those with duties deserve rights, then the mentally ill would have no rights and people would be free to kill and eat them (Lin, n.d.).
