Fixing Texting and Driving

Cause of death: Texting while driving.

Lucille is part of the thousands who lose their lives to texting and driving every year. Americans are constantly warned about such a deadly mistake, but nevertheless, they still do it. “It won’t me be. I can take care of myself,” they argue. But in all honesty, they cannot take care of themselves. As such, one of the only ways to stop texting while driving is making the punishment more severe.

Texting while driving charges should be comparable to DUI charges, which can include hefty fines (up to $2000), license suspension, and jail time. Although the two situations are different, they are similar in that they both cause death. In this vein, the consequences are completely justified.
