Based on the article titled Sam Walton’s biography, Sam Walton was born in 1918 in Oklahoma. He found a huge retail store that was opened in 1962 in Arkansas. He learned at a retail store and eventually opened his own variety store. Since he was successful in the beginning with the first store he decided to open his first Walmart.
