I say that college athletes should get paid on how well the team is doing, and how well they are doing. If they pay college athletes it can help them pay off their college debt. Which is very good because you don’t want debt. So this way the can pay off some debt.
Another reason is that college coaches get paid, why don’t athletes get paid too? College Athletes can get scholarships, but that barely covers the college fees. So by paying them based on how they do in school, on the field, and at games would reasonably be accurate. By doing this it will help them better score in school, and stay in school. Also they can push to be better on the field, don’t you want your college team to be better? Financial this will help because they can start to manage their money independently. I’m not saying pay them like $15,000 a semester, but like $1,000-2,000 per semester. But it’s up to the players/athletes to see if the college they are interested in has the program they want (degrees) and if they really want it. Why hasn’t the NCAA started paying their athletes? Because apparently they are a non profit company, then why did the NCAA and CBS signed a $10.8 billion television agreement over 14 years. That makes no sense! They are hypocrites to saying that they aren’t a non profit organization. Then why did they sign that 10.8 billion dollar deal with CBS? How about they use some of that money to help pay athletes? It would be perfect for paying athletes, am I
