Standardized testing is a hot topic in the school system for many. This is partially due to the fact that students are often under the impression that grades are what make up a person. Despite this being false, students often undergo large amounts of stress while trying to mentally and physically prepare themselves for these tests. This often overburdens their bodies and can result in sickness and lower body productivity. Add a little, have a thesis statement. One of the many counterparts of standardized testing, being performance-based assessments, is a more reliable source of testing for a student's growth. PBA allows educators to be able to freely educate their students in a way that doesn’t burden them with unnecessary information. It also allows one to identify a student's weak spots in learning by enabling them to observe the situation over a stretch of time.
