Teaching is enriching for endless reasons, but to me, teaching is a dream. There will be no two days that are exactly the same. Each day will bring on new experiences. I believe that each child is a true individual and my sincerist hope is to help students fulfill their potential to become successful in this world.

I believe that the best classrooms are those that have a loving and well informed teacher, a room full of curious students and supportive parents.

For myself, teaching provides an opportunity for continual learning and growth. One of my hopes as an educator is to instill a love of learning in my students, as I share my own passion for learning with them.

Sendejo, my third grade teacher. She is still an amazing teacher and I have kept in touch with her for years , even after high school. Not only was she supportive, she made sure that we knew we could do great things later in life. Along with Mrs. Sendejo, my mother made an impact in my wanting to teach. She started teaching me how to read before I was four years old and would take me to the public library. It was there that she encouraged my fascination with sharks by letting me explore the marine biology section. My mother also taught me through music, stories and supporting my curiosity.

I am looking forward to teach children between the grades of Kindergarten and second grade because that age group is still naturally curious. But, no matter which grade I do decide to teach, I will be happy because even though I will be teaching them, I will be learning from them as well.

I will teach students to ask for help without feeling afraid of ridicule from their classmates. In my classroom, students will experience hands-on activities and allow them to input some ideas in how I can teach in a way that they understand. By giving them the opportunity, I believe students will generate ideas that make for a much richer lesson plan than I could have created myself. I will incorporate themes, integrated units, projects, group work, individual work, and hands-on learning in order to make children active
