In developing my personal philosophy of education I have come to realise that teaching is a learning process. We are always learning from our students, colleagues, parents and community. Learning is a lifelong process where you learn new strategies, ideas and philosophies. I believe that everyone has the ability to learn, no matter what their rate of learning is, the ability is still there.

I see myself as a teacher who is caring, compassionate and considerate to the diverse needs and values of each student individually. Someone that is willing to put the needs of their students first and where every student’s needs, wants and values are seen as equal. I will challenge students and watch them grow by creating an atmosphere and stimulating educational environment where students can meet their full potential physically, mentally, emotionally and socially. I will provide a safe learning environment where students are welcomed to share their ideas and to take risks. It is important that my students, parents, colleagues and community see me as someone they can approach. Classroom organisation is also important. If students are in a disorganised classroom, they too will feel disorganised and have no value for their classroom and themselves. …show more content…
