Gay marriage is defined as marriage between 2 people of the same sex. It is controversial issue because because it involves a dispute between sides which hold opposing views. According to (ProCon.org), those who support gay marriage believe that they should be able to marry over love and also that their religion is for gay marriages. Furthermore, advocates of gay marriage strongly feel that gay couples should have the same right that straight couples have.
