In general, do you think laws covering the sale of guns should be made more strict, less strict, or kept as they are now? Amendment II clearly specifies that it is a violation to restrict the right for people to own Arms. It also states that the federal government in conjunction with the state should regulate how and who should own firearms. Currently gun control laws are in place with restriction by how and who should be able to buy, sell, carrier, how to store and what type of firearms an individual can hold. I personally do not own a gun for the simple reason I believe that by the time I reach out to my firearm to protect myself, I could either injure myself with it or can be forced out of my hand and use against me. I also fear that the gun can be used to commit another crime and it will be in my conscious since I was the one that purchased the firearm I am somewhat responsible for that person’s death. Nevertheless, I do believe that any person that want to own a firearm should be able to do so by law own one. Still, laws should be stricter because presently gun control varies by state with some state being more strict than other state. For instate some state require background check, some require a license or a permit to own a firearm and other states don’t. Ideology all the states should follow the same rule requiring all individuals prior to purchasing a firearm to have a background check and a mental health background check and obtain a license to carry a gun with the understand about their responsibility and consequence of owning that gun.
