I am applying for the business/project administrator assistant apprenticeship at the University Hospitals of Leicester because it will allow me to pursue a career in business and will give me the sufficient skill set to start my journey in business. I also feel an apprenticeship is the best route for me as it will hopefully allow me to work my way up to achieve my end goal. I am very good at working in teams. an example of this would be my participation in The Duke of Edinburgh Award. Undertaking this award helped me to further improve my communication and team working skills, as working as a team was crucial to help us get where we needed to be. It also made the experience as comfortable as possible for all team members. My day to day tasks varied but consisted of things such as packing and organizing which further helped to improve my skills, it also gave me an insight in how to be resourceful within a business and how to achieve the best possible output with the resources available to me. At GCSE I was predicted a C grade in business studies but successfully attained a B. This particularly drove me to pursue a career in business as it showed my capability towards to subject. I achieved a C grade in Maths, English Language and English Literature highlighting my capabilities in the core subjects. I also applied to help students younger than me with their business coursework and the particular student I was assisting achieved a C grade overall despite being predicted an E with my help and my Business
