Christian Rapper Why is Christian rap an interesting career field to choose? Christian rap is interesting because it teaches you dedication and motivation. You need motivation and dedication to want to help others come to Jesus. You might even have some skills to rap. Music would influence people to get more involved with the word of God. Being a Christian Rapper can be a positive career choice because you can express your feelings, join a large group of talented rappers, and find your faith. I became a Christian rapper because I wanted another way to tell my feelings. I had this awesome idea of instead of just being a rapper I would help spread the word of Jesus by making slang songs.

Some famous and well-known Christian rappers are Lecrae, Andy Mineo, Trip Lee, KB, Flame, Derek Minor, Propaganda, and more. These are artists out there who actually have stories of why they are rappers and how their lives without Christ were nothin but disappointments until they finally realized that Jesus was the key to life's success. This famous rapper named Lecrae ended up getting involved with drugs, and he got arrested and put in a police car (Green). He was caught with drugs, and the police officer found a Bible and asked him if he knew Jesus (Green). He said he needed to, and the police officer let him go if he promised to learn about God and start living for Jesus and Lecrae changed forever (Hull). I always thought it was more important than my school work, and I would slack off and not do my homework. Everyday my schedule was going upstairs and listening to music rather than doing my homework. I was always making excuses and reasons why writing music was important. In my past experience I learned that school is just as important as writing music. You have to get good grades in high school and graduate before you start thinking about your career.

A rapper named Kanye West also raps about his faith in different ways (Green).The other version of "Jesus Walks" is that West also has used deeply profane lyrics like "put my fist in her like a civil rights sign" (Green). He may have rapped about Christianity, but few would call Kanye a Christian rapper (Green). Lecrae became the first rapper to drop an album at the top of Billboard 200 and the gospel charts concurrently (Green). In his album Anomaly he writes about gratitude for the redeemer, a shout out to Jesus and not a single curse word (Green). In conclusion, becoming a Christian artist can be an awesome experience. It has helped me out in my personal life. It allowed me to express my personal feelings. This made me realize that I need to start making changes in my life again. You should be the next rapper and show the world that Jesus matters!Works
