In order to create an environment where all members of the school community can strive to achieve identified campus goals, a devoted educational leader must initiate plans towards developing a more effective school. That is, leaders should visualize the full potential of their campus then work towards addressing staff needs. By recognizing where the ultimate goal is in relation to the starting point is vital in identifying the areas needing improvement. It is also important for all members of the school community to share the same ambition. There are always pertinent and relevant training offered to educators who want to make a significant difference in the classroom. One key objective will be to focus on providing detailed and methodic professional learning prospects to promote continuous staff development. By integrating more targeted and tactical programs will encourage them to become more confident in their responsibilities. In an effort to ensure success in designing ongoing professional development activities, one of the aims is to create a sustainable environment where teachers can brainstorm ideas and collaborate. All faculty members need to acquire a unified strategy clearly defining the main objectives for a productive school. They can combine expertise and knowledge to gather broad ideas. In addition, it should urge them to enrich their experience and accomplish skills specifically pertaining to improving their performance. Campus goals must align with district and state standards since these standards already advocate for continuous school improvement. This should also be the basis for decision-making relating to goal expectations, learning practices, plus formative and summative assessment procedures. It is crucial to project how a budget and resources will be obtained to accommodate professional development plans. This can be done after a staff needs assessment is conducted. Reviewing a variety of data will establish the target activities to truly benefit them. Supervisors will be guided on how to design training and ensure desired learning takes place. Moreover, conducting a staff needs assessment will encourage an increased commitment to implement new approaches acquired in the professional training. Acknowledging results from previous plans will be necessary to evaluate as well. Looking into past programs and data will reveal successes and failures. It is also important to identify the extent those goals were met. In fact, Cook (2010) stated “the evaluation outcomes should always align with the educational goals . . . you may have more success if you simply select those outcomes that best align with your objectives
