Education Philosophy
I work with 3-5 year olds and recognize that every child is an individual and I would like my classroom to be able to meet the needs of all of my students. I would like to include centers that have different levels of developmental tools so that all children can learn in each area no matter where they are developmentally. There are several theories and philosophies that I will implement in my classroom. The method we will use in the class is a play based method that will help the children learn while exploring their environment inside and outside. All of the children in my class will feel welcome and will be able to have learning experiences that will benefit their future.
As a teacher of early childhood my classroom reflects my philosophy directly. My classroom is broken up into several different centers in which children are able to learn. These centers include; blocks, dramatic play, library, toys and games/manipulatives, discovery and science, music and movement, art, and computers. All areas have new exciting materials that go along with the theme or study for the week. There are learning objectives that we work on based off the chosen curriculum.
