I believe all students can achieve and succeed in any classroom if challenged to their full potential. As a teacher, I continually engage in a high level of professional growth and application of skills to enhance my knowledge in my content area. Professionalism is a explemary quality trait of mine which I continue to value. I consistently exhibit a commitment to professional ethics and work hard in implementing the school’s mission statement to my students, which at Summerour Middle school it is “Working Hard, and Being Nice!” I am a teacher, an advocator, and a coach. I believe that education is one tool in every avenue of life that each student should cherish. Teachers provide that foundation for lifelong learners because we shape and mold these young men and women every day. My belief as a teacher is that every child is capable of learning no matter what academic setting they are in, and each student learns in their own unique way. Showing each student, you believe in their success, as well as continuous encouragement, they will show you what is embedded inside of them. My goal as a teacher is to encourage and show every student what his or her potential is! I continually engage students in a collaborative and self-directed learning environment where students are encouraged to take risks and ownership of their own learning behavior. I consistently provide a well-managed, safe, and orderly environment that is conducive to learning and encourages respect for all students. If a child feels threatened in an environment, he or she will not be opened to learning new material. Especially in middle school where students are afraid to speak up due to bullying, I make sure my classroom is a no judgement
