Therefore, beginning next semester, I will be a junior student at one of the most reputable universities for business major, especially Accounting. Even though it may take me two more years to finish, I will be able to accomplish my first goal, which is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. At CSUF, because they offer many accounting and business coursework that are required to sit for the CPA exam, once I graduate from CSUF, I will be able to fulfill a unit-coursework requirement for the CPA exam. Thus, I may not need to pursue an advanced degree to meet the unit requirement. As a result, instead of spending more time on an advanced program, I can actually study for the CPA exam.

Dear _______________: I am writing this Letter of Intent to advise you that I will be applying to Abilene Christian University for the Ed. D. in Organizational Leadership program with a start date of March 2018. I chose the Ed. D. in Organizational Leadership because I am currently in the role of Dean at a community college, and I would like to broaden my skills and analytical ability to eventually become a Vice President of Academic Affairs, and later to become a President of a community College. I have held leadership positions prior to becoming part of academia, and have found them to be a good fit for me.

After listening to our guest speaker in class today and meeting with the preferred counselor, I have realized the many opportunities this program has to offer. After attending the first half of the semester in Professor Bob Urell’s accounting class, I have now considered accounting as a career interest. I believe that I am doing well in his class and will love to participate in this program. And surely feel like I will excel in this program. When I first registered at IVC back in 2013, I was still stuck in my high school persona about school as a whole and after placing in low remedial classes I became demotivated to progress.
Looking back on my high school journey, one thing remains steadfast: my determination to travel and study abroad. With this in mind, I have chosen to respond to the second prompt—detailing what opportunity I am most excited about—regarding the Renée Crown University Honors College at Syracuse University. While reading through the Honors College website, multiple programs and opportunities piqued my interest. However, the emphasis placed on studying abroad while at Syracuse intrigued me the most. As a result of growing up in a small town, nothing excites me more than branching out and discovering new places.

As I reflect on my education at Regis University, I truly understand what I have gained and what I have to offer. Regis University affords an opportunity to grow as a professional, as well as, a well-rounded person that will make ethical choices and decisions. The six key Jesuit values serve as a compass that is meant to guide us in both our professional and personal life. I look back at my education, and I look forward to how I will apply the Jesuit standards to the accounting profession as I consider the individuals I will serve.
My interest in Accounting stemmed from my optimistic expectation about career development in this field. Accounting is so important in the business world that only on the basis of accounting information, management is able to make investment decisions, and optimize internal operation. Thus, it is widely applied to every business sector. However, due to a strange combination of circumstances, I was matriculated by Biology and Medical Engineering College, instead of the Economic and Management College, in which I could accumulate the knowledge that would allow me to realize my career ambition. Changing major was not easy to operate in our university.
