My Philosophy Statement

I believe even young children start to shape themselves. I believe that outside of their home they need a safe place to go and learn how to be their own person. I want to be a Kindergarten teacher. I want to teach children how to begin their education. I want to teach them how to start understanding things about themselves in a setting away from their home. I want to learn from them just as much as they learn from me. I hope to be a place where they feel safe coming to and want to come back to it every day. School is one of the most important things that we have as a society. This is where we teach our children to do things on their own. Such as read, do math, learn to solve problems and so much more. A lot of their home life’s do not always make them feel safe. Most kids see school as a place they know they will get feed and place where someone will pay attention to them weather it is good or bad. In my classroom I want children to want to come in and know they are safe. I want to have a classroom seating where no matter what is going on at home they can talk to me. I want to focus more on what they do right rather than what they do wrong. I want them to see me as someone who cares about them and will do things for them. Each group of students will be coming in with a whole separate set of needs and backgrounds. They will teach me things that I did not know they could. I want them to teach me how they see the world. They will teach me several things I am sure. I want this want to learn from them to never die. I want to always want to learn from my students. They will all come from diverse kinds of homes. I want to learn their cutlers and things they do in their home and share them with the rest of the class and my family as well.
