The legal system is continuously evolving all around us. Law is a principle, that binds the whole world into behaving in a certain way and stops them from carrying out unquestionable things. It has affected people in a positive way this is because legislation is made to protect the public, as I have learnt during recent years in light of many terror- related incidents. This principle has really inspired me to explore the different concepts of law, to see how a bill could change the way we live forever as well as understand why it is so important to continue making and amending laws.

Studying A level Law has predominantly influenced me to study law further. As well as providing me with an understanding of the English Legal System I was also able to develop many skills to assist me for University. A level Law allowed me to develop analytical and critical thinking skills, which will be vital when having to distill large amounts of information into something more cogent. Furthermore Business Studies has allowed for me to understand how a business works, how it is managed and becomes prosperous. Not only has this helped me for when I study at University it will also be helpful in the future, if i decide to take on a self-employed or managerial position. Core Mathematics requires a lot of problem solving which will be useful when studying law due to the fact you will be required to think outside of the box, as the best solutions may not be obvious. Moreover, the Extended Project Qualification allows me to gain many valuable skills, which are vital for University. Skills such as; time management, written skills, researching and presenting, will be developed as I complete the EPQ all of which will come in handy when studying law.
