Classroom Environment 1. Set a purpose by establishing how assessments will be interpreted and used. My classroom environment is driven by my school’s expectations for using data to drive instruction. Before students entered my classroom at the start of the school year, I reviewed the data that I received from their previous teachers and previous state assessments to set a goal for students individually and as a whole.
