After thorough analysis and research about my career in further education I chose to carry on the second year of A level even after failing to secure the grades of which I knew I was capable of getting. My family and I were extremely disappointed in not achieving the grades I was due to get however I decided to carry on the second year of which I am taking the following subjects; Sociology, ICT and Design Technology (graphics Product). Design Technology has taught me a broad discipline in which has made me develop a number of specialist fields in business management such as Marketing, Packaging, Manufacturing, Advertising, Quality Control and standards of a Product. Here I got the opportunity to see how health service managers are responsible for managing, delivering and quality of the whole hospital. During the day I also got to see how the X-ray department operates, here I developed many skills like the ability to cope with constant change, the aptitude to deal with stress this skill I felt was the most fundamental skill I learnt which is essential to overcome in the business field. I also collated a clear understanding of issues surrounding confidentiality, which again is another vital skill that pays a large role in business. This broadened confidence skills as with this skill will improve customer relationships and greater efficiencies.. In addition, I classified that as you start to build the capacity of those around you, there is a lot that can be delegated safely as a development opportunity, which is useful to combat in relation to business management. I also participated in…My role at Erlsmead primary and infant school was an assistant to help complete tasks that were set for a certain day. I was given the responsibility to work with a wide range of children from ages 1-3. My good sense of humour enabled me to communicate with different backgrounds from a wide age range from staff to children. I also worked with the manager of the infants group were I have assisted shed control to tidy up the class work and help choose tasks for the children.
