Can you imagine over 100 million animals are burned, mutilated, poisoned, and abused in the laboratory every year in the U.S.? How would you feel if your pets are the ones getting tested? Have you ever noticed that the products we use are produced after all the animals' death and pain? Many people see animal testing as very helpful and effective for us, but actually, it is not. There are many bad sides of animal testing that we usually don't know such as nine out of ten drug animal experiments fail. This means that it is a wasteful thing to do since people use precious time, money, and resources by doing these misleading experiments. Animal testing is also frequently used in cosmetic industry. It is banned in some places, but there are still many countries that animal testing is legal. Through animal testing, hundreds and thousands of animals suffer by being tortured, killed and mutilated. For exafmple, in the cosmetic industry, companies don't use anesthesia to animals because it costs money. Thus, animals suffer for their whole life if they do not die after the experiment. This is overly cruel and inhumane! Furthermore, certain kinds of research involving animal testing, involves subjecting creatures to what can be described as torture. Some of the animals reportedly even have their necks broken and cut off. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture in 2010, nearly 100,000 animals were not injected anesthesia and suffered pain during experiments. Lastly, life is a precious thing that we should be thankful for, so we should not treat them in a merciless way. Animals are creatures and living organisms which means they can also suffer just like humans do. Therefore, we should never support animal
