It is the middle of summer, kids are playing in the street then a car comes blasting by then bam. A kid gets hit by a person texting and driving. Luckily the kid is not killed but severely injured. People should not text and drive. Teenagers are always on their phones so they are probably going to be on them in the car, if you get a citation for texting and driving your insurance will skyrocket, and when you text and drive you are not only putting yourself in danger but you are putting others i dander to. Texting and driving should be illegal in all states.

If you get a lot of citations you might get your licence suspended. If you get your license suspended you will not be able to drive. And driving is the only good way of getting around to far places. But in some states there are different laws against texting and driving so you may not get a citation. And if you do not get consequence teens will not be scared of texting and driving so they will do it. But There are four states that do not ban texting and driving for all drivers. Arizona and Montana don't have any laws against it but Arizona bus drivers cannot text and drive in Missouri if you are under 21 years old. And Texas bans texting and driving for bus drivers and people under 18. So in those states there is more of a risk of getting killed or injured due to texting and driving.
