According to The National Safety Council, around 1.6 million car crashes are caused by cellphones. Any form of cell phone use while driving is a completely drastic deathwish. A single second of looking at your phone while driving can lead to terrible, life-changing consequences, including totaling one’s car, hurting or killing people, or getting pulled over. Teenagers are most known for being on their phones while driving. Several things could go wrong just because you had to check that tremendous play in baseball or texting your friend back about the nice car you just saw. Back in the summer, I nearly crashed just because I was texting and driving. After that moment, I’ve hardly touched my phone while driving. I was driving down Route 24 towards Eureka. In fact all but 3 states have a ban on texting and driving. In Missouri, you’re able to text and drive as long as you’re above the age of 21. For Arizona and Montana, you’re able to text and drive at any age. You’re at your own risk texting and driving. I wouldn’t recommend it just because of the fact that it’s against the law. Yes, people will still do it anyway because that’s just how it works in society today. For example, killing is illegal, but people still do it everyday and they don’t get caught most of the time. Whether it’s during the day or at night, don’t text and drive whatsoever. During the night it’s more obvious just because of the fact that the light of your phone will glow while driving. From my experience, cops are mostly out during the night compared to the day. When the sun is out, you have to actually look up at the person driving so you can see whether they’re on their phone or not. Regardless though, nobody should use their phone while
