Education has been something that has always been of importance to me. I graduated from Hercules High School in 2012 with honors (3.6 GPA). Doing so was a major accomplishment for myself. Upon applying for colleges, the only school I was accepted to was San Jose State University. I was a bit disappointed because after ranking the schools I applied to based on where I wanted to go, I determined that San Jose State was dead last on my list. I tried to be optimistic and enrolled at San Jose State in the fall of 2012. I am now in my 5th year here at San Jose State University and will be graduating in May of 2017, with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration and a concentration in Management. About a year and a half later, I received a job offer to become a “Pool/Fitness Center Attendant” at La Rinconada Country Club in Los Gatos. I chose to accept this offer because of the fact that I’d be making more money per hour. After about six months of working there, I realized this was not the job for me and began to search for other opportunities of employment. This led to me going back to the athletic industry and getting a job as a Sales Associate with Nike, Inc. Sports and shoes has always been a passion of mine, which is what led me to these jobs at Footlocker and Nike. After almost a year at Nike, I resigned from Nike and accepted a Sales position with Verizon Wireless; where I sold phones and various other electronics.
