Student athletes are some of the most well rounded when it comes to multitasking. They go from a student by night and then and athlete by day. The work and work and work. That’s all the students do, but yet should they get rewarded with that by getting payed.
Student athletes should not get paid by anyone because they are there to study and compete.
One reason why the students should not get paid is because the students already are sort of getting payed through scholarships. Most of them at least are getting payed for some if not all of their college tuition. Plus they also get tutors in which they do not have to pay for like most other students. It is almost like they are getting payed you just don’t see it. And they went there for college not athletics that’s why it is called student athletes.
Another reason why student athletes shouldn’t get paid is because the students should compete and not focus on money. College athletics are sort of getting them ready for the pros. The athletes have the crowds and the nice facilities but without the money. So the athletes basically are living the pro lifestyle it’s just without money at the athlete's hand. Having students not go to class is a big thing. If the students skip class then they aren’t students any more. If they students skip class then it is almost like the pros except you only have four years. Plus if that were to happen where the students would skip class then the students could be suspended or expelled. And trust me if that were to happen then college athletics wouldn’t be even fun anymore because some of the best players on each team could be gone for a few games and it would only be the smart players against the other smart
